Subscribe to a Shrimp CSF
Shrimp CSFs are available only during the winter months because our fishermen currently catch Maine shrimp only during that time. During the summer months, we have frozen, picked shrimp meat for sale as long as the supply lasts. CSF customers can place special orders for fish, crab meat, lobster meat, and lobsters for pickup with their weekly shares, subject to seasonal availability.
Shrimp subscriptions will begin the week of December 20th and run for 12 weeks. Sign up for a subscription of any length, and at anytime during the CSF season. Lobsters, crabs, lobster meat and crabmeat may also be available. Ask us for details! Click here to download the form.
CSF SHRIMP SUBSCRIPTION PRICING
Half shares (3 lbs of shrimp per week):
Raw picked shrimp meat: $15 per week ($5/lb)
Cooked picked shrimp meat: $18 per week ($6/lb)
Whole shares (6 lbs of shrimp per week):
Raw picked shrimp meat: $30 per week ($5/lb)
Cooked picked shrimp meat: $36 per week ($6/lb)
CSF shares will be available for pick-up at the following locations:
Gardiner Farmers Market: Pick up on Mondays on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month between 2pm and 5:30pm located at Episcopal Christ Church on the corner of Dresden and Church Streets
St. George: Pick-up on Saturdays between 9am and 10am at the Port Clyde Fresh Catch processing facility on Marshall Point road in Port Clyde, behind Herring Gut Learning Center
Bath Farmers Market: Pick-up on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month between 9am and 12pm at the Bath Farmers Market located at 150 Congress Street
Rockland: Pick-up on Sundays between 11am and 12pm at the First Universalist Church in Rockland located at 345 Broadway
Rockport: Pick-up on Sundays between 1pm and 2pm at Farmers Fare located at the corner of Route 90 and Cross Street
Belfast: Pick-up on Sundays between 3pm and 4pm at the Belfast Food Cooperative located at 123 High Street
Bangor/Orono: Pick-up time and location to be announced as soon as we reach the 40 subscribers needed to make this delivery feasible!
CSF pickup locations for Bangor/Orono, Unity, Freeport and Portland are being established this winter if we can get 40 subscribers for each location.
We are working towards a small summer shrimp fishery using environmentally sustainable technology that sorts out small shrimp, leaving them in the ocean to grow larger in future years. Check back to find out more about the availability of fresh Maine shrimp next summer!
